Description
A recapitulation of some of the introductory ideas in “Shocks” is presented as an entry point to a larger discussion of the essential relation between the instinctive side (the Instinctive Center) of man in relation to “Life on Earth.” This class study refers to Speeth’s The Gurdjieff Work; Gurdjieff’s Beelzebub’s Tales to His Grandson; Ouspensky’s In Search of the Miraculous and The Psychology of Man’s Possible Evolution; it relies on nomenclature from the developed psychology of Brain Systems, a paper listed in this series.
Primary topics: the esoteric and sacred, special nature of the emotional part of the Instinctive Center [INe]; Ashiata’s Terror of the Moment; the interaction between INe and essence as it is considered for the planet; matters of involution and evolution; the transformation of substances; reciprocal feeding; intuition; the integration of the materiality of evolution, physics and [esoteric] super-physics of man and the earth; and some simple calculus which strives to express the monumental forces expressed by the rate of change of INe over time driven by what appears to be chance. (right…) This is enjoyable and readable notwithstanding the math. A two page short story extracted from the older version is included in this paper.
